Animals have always been a part of my life. Growing up with a multitude of animals inside and outside it seemed they were just an extension of myself. I love them all from the furry, to feathers and even the scaly. In every occupation I have had, I dedicated myself to either taking care of animals, protecting them or the environment in one way or another. Animals have no human voice, and I always wanted to try my best to give them a better world and a better life. Contact Me

Moyamoya is a rare vascular disease of the brain in which the main arteries that supply blood to your brain become narrowed and blocked. In moyamoya disease, the carotid arteries narrow over time. You have two carotid arteries on either side of your neck that carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to your brain. Penn Medicine

Moyamoya disease and other forms of intracranial stenosis cause the progressive narrowing of vessels in the brain. This can cause transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) and stroke. Over time, patients may develop severe headaches, TIAs and strokes leading to neurological problems, including vision, speech, movement and sensation problems. Moyamoya can appear at any age. Although it is considered a rare disease, it is often misdiagnosed. - PennState Health

Life with epilepsy can at times be stressful, overwhelming, and challenging to navigate; not just for the person diagnosed, but for their partner as well. Couples experiencing epilepsy face unique challenges together. At times a partner may serve as a caregiver, and with that comes navigating various responsibilities, over-protection, and concerns about well-being.
The EFEPA Couples Support Group is specially designed for those diagnosed with epilepsy and their significant others. This support group is tailored to the unique needs and shared experiences of couples facing an epilepsy diagnosis together, regardless of sexual orientation or relationship status. It’s our hope that we can overcome these challenges through shared experiences, conversations and support for each other.
Facilitators: Rachel Robinson & Jeff LaBonde

Epilepsy is a hidden disorder. Despite how common it is fear and stigma exist. It’s easy to feel isolated and alone.
Members of support groups share experience, engage in advocacy, provide information and help each other. A support
group can provide a safe space to talk about the impact of epilepsy and seizures and how to overcome those
challenges. VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS – participate from home
Some of our member organizations have VIRTUAL GROUPS available and OPEN to people across the country.
